A new way to watch movie-on-demand content online is coming soon to the service of the nation’s largest fast-food restaurant chain.
The move will see restaurants across Canada offer a new streaming service that will offer up a full catalog of movies and TV shows.
The service, dubbed Dont miss it, will be available to users in Canada, Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
It will also be available across other regions of Canada including Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Ontario and New Brunswick.
The streaming service will offer a wide selection of movies, TV shows and sports content.
“Dont miss It has been a great way for us to connect with our customers, and it is really exciting to see it expand to other provinces and territories,” said Dont Miss It co-founder Chris Dickey.
“It’s exciting because it’s going to bring new people to our site and new fans to our service.”
The service will be free to users and users can purchase a subscription for $15.
A month-long trial will be offered.
“We’ve seen an amazing amount of interest from Canadian consumers who are searching for content, and we think Dont missed It is going to help those users find what they’re looking for,” Dickey said.
“The number one question we’re getting is what are they going to be able to watch?”
The company says the service will stream shows from the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
Dont Miss it is not the first new service that Dickey has created for the service.
He launched the Dont Catch Me app for TV shows in March 2016.
“One of the key elements that made Dont catch me so great was the ability to watch shows on any device,” he said.
He said he plans to add other streaming services over time.
“That’s just something we’re working on and we’re hoping to launch this in the coming months,” he added.
