The tacos are the heart of mankato’s fast food menu, and its creator has been making them for nearly 40 years.
Mankato is a taco truck in downtown Brooklyn that serves tacos in a variety of flavours, from the mild-spicy to the spicy.
Manksatos menu includes a variety, from mild to mild spicy, from beef and chicken, and pork and beef.

But Mankats tacos are often called fast food because they’re served hot and hot often.
“We have a whole menu of different types of tacos and we’re constantly cooking them,” Mankatos owner Steve Manka says.
“The food comes out quickly.”
Fast food tacos are not for everyone.
They’re a good option for the busy busy day, but don’t be afraid to leave the rest to the fast food industry.
Fast food is a fast food company.
But the fast-food industry does things to the food that are considered disgusting.
“There’s a lot of different things that they put in there,” Manka said.
“They have a lot more things in there that are disgusting, but the meat itself is good.”
Mankati says he doesn’t think fast food has changed, and he hopes the tacos will continue to be made to order.
“I think fast-casual, that’s just not the way it is anymore,” Manikatos co-owner Steve Mankas told CBC News.
Mankas first taco came to New York City in the late 1970s.
It was a huge hit, but he says the fast chain had changed.
Fast-food chains have been adding things to their menu that they’ve been banned from in Canada, such as chicken and egg sandwiches.
Man kato was a bit of a pioneer.
“He did take it to other countries and made it in different ways,” Manko said.
Manko’s fast tacos are more like what you might find at a Mexican restaurant.
“You’ll find a lot less meat in there, you’ll get the egg, the meat is not that thick,” he said.
But that’s OK.
“That’s how it should be,” Manchukas mother, Sonia, said.
They have more than 400 locations across Canada and the United States, and the chain’s restaurants in Ontario are the only ones in New York.
“Mankato, Mankatis, Mankas are all the way across the country,” Sonia Mankas said.
Sonia Mankas said the first Mankatsu taco in New Jersey came from a man who was in the army.
She says the man is in the Army now.
“It’s the one that started it all,” Mankos mother Sonia said.
She hopes Mankets tacos will grow in popularity.
“My hope is that it’s a sign that we’re finally starting to get this fast food out of our fast food system.”
